finished work.

we. art. displayed the finished pieces, 13 12" x 12" canvases, each completed with the input of 2 collaborators, on August, 18th 2011. In addition to hosting a gallery viewing, members of the we. art. group shared their experiences of the project.

Photos of the viewing and discussion are posted to our flickr site.We have also included images of each finished piece, in the order of collaborating artists, below. Titles and collaborator names are listed beneath each image, listed in the order in which the piece was completed. Titles were derived collaboratively, as each individual chose one work to describe their piece, in most cases without any input from their collaborator.

show.

On Thursday, Aug 18th, we art is having a one-night only showing of the collaborative art project entitled "we. art." More details below:

Thursday, August 18

7:00 - 9:00 pm
Discussion from 7:30- 8:15 pm

The show will feature thirteen 12" x 12" canvases created by thirteen artists and friends. Each participant has worked on 2 of the canvases, each one with a different partner. When viewed in a row, each participant's hand and unique vision will be seen across their 2 pieces. This project has been about how we as a community can engage in art- not just discussing or supporting it, but in actually creating it. At the show, we will share our thoughts about the process and what it has meant to our community.

We will hold a discussion from 7:30- 8:15, which will allow participants to dialogue with each other about their experience and which will also be open to audience questions and comments.

Come support us. Come see some art.
